Important Message from RISD Superintendent, Melissa Gonzales
Refugio ISD will begin remote instruction on Monday, August 24. Per guidance released yesterday from the Texas Education Agency, the District will utilize a four-week transition period of virtual learning through Google Classroom to prepare a safe and gradual opening of traditional, on-campus classrooms. Should local health conditions warrant an extension, a board-approved waiver will extend the transition an additional four weeks.

District and campus leadership continues to plan for both remote and in-person learning in a safe and healthy environment. A detailed instructional plan for the 2020-2021 school year will be released in the coming days.

Refugio ISD will continue to monitor UIL announcements regarding fall extracurricular events.

Thank you to the families who completed the online survey. Refugio ISD values your input and will continue to seek it in the coming months.   Students and families are encouraged to provide updated contact information to campus offices to ensure access to registration and further information. We look forward to the safe return of all students to our campuses.
